The Spanish Multicriteria Decision Group was established in Madrid in November 1997 with a multidisciplinary vocation. At present the Group is composed of about 180 researchers from more than twenty Spanish universities, belonging to many different areas of knowledge (Statistics and Operational Research, Applied Economics, Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Project Engineering, Business Organization, Agrarian Economy, etc.).
According to the International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making and the EWG on MCDA, the Spanish Multicriteria Decision Group presents a leading position worldwide, both in scientific productivity and in human resources. Some of its members have held positions of responsibility in international working groups and have received international recognition for their research work.
