Amparo Mármol Conde
Amparo María Mármol Conde, PhD in Mathematics from the University of Seville in 1994. Professor of Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business since 2009. She develops her teaching and research work in the Department of Applied Economics III of the University of Seville and in the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Seville (IMUS).
Her research is focused on Social Decisions and Game Theory and its applications in Economics, having resulted in more than 40 international publications in this field. Since 2003 she has led a research group integrated by mathematicians and economists, which has developed several research projects funded by public national and regional institutions and contributed to the development of group decision models and cooperative and non-cooperative games. Currently, she is participating in an Excellence Research Project funded by the Andalusian Government and leading the ‘Competition and Cooperation in the Economy and Social Sciences’ project funded by the National R & D Plan.
She has been a visiting professor at the Universities of Southampton, UK (2001), Tilburg, The Netherlands (2007), Rochester, USA (2007) and Manchester, UK (2009-2010). This international activity has allowed her to foster collaborations with other researchers and scientific institutions. Additionally, she has coordinated several international conferences, seminars and doctoral courses related to Game Theory and Collective Decision.
