NETWORKING
One of the pillars of the European Social Sciences Laboratory is the collaboration with public and private research institutions both in the national and the international level. Cooperative work and networking are common features of the different of activities carried out by the Laboratory, from the research work of its members to their teaching and academic activities, and results in different actions: participation in international research networks, collaboration with European programs (i.e. MedMobil), participation in researchers mobility initiatives, etc.
As a representative example of networking, the participation of the European Social Sciences Laboratory in several EU COST actions can be highlighted. The COST program is the longest-running European framework supporting trans-national cooperation among researchers, engineers and scholars across Europe, currently representing one of the larger frameworks of scientific cooperation. Its main objective is to strengthen scientific and technical research in Europe, providing funds for collaboration among researchers who work in national funded projects. The Laboratory is currently involved in two COST Actions:
- COST Action: Renewable Energy and Landscape QualitY (RELY)
- COST Action: Urban Agriculture in Europe (UAE)
At a national scale, the involvement of the Laboratory in several research networks can be highlighted:
- RESERP: Red Española sobre Energías Renovables y Paisaje
- REES - Red Española de Elección Social
- GEDM - Grupo Español de Decisión Multicriterio
