Collaborate with us

CARMEN is completely FREE FOR RESEARCH purposes, although some restrictions on code use could be linked to the scope of the goals. In all cases, its use in CLINICAL patient care decisions is explicitly FORBIDDEN. The following lines present some of possible scenarios in which you would use CARMEN:

  1. Using the platform routinely in a remote way under our assistance. The application is in a beta stage and have to be tested before its potential distribution as a stand-alone. On the other side, please consider that working remotely allows you to benefit of the computing power available in our facilities at University of Seville.
  2. Starting a scientific collaboration with us and others, by previously stating common objectives. We consider the option of holding joint proposals for funding.
  3. You could use CARMEN by joining an already initiated project.

Before starting, please consider the following questions?

  1. What LINAC models would you like to include for MC modelling?
  2. Have you already obtain the technical specifications of these LINACs?
  3. In which of the following tasks would you like to participate?
    • VMAT pre-treatment verification.
    • SBRT patient specific verification.
    • Dose painting based on MC calculation.
    • Modulated Electron Radiation Therapy by using the xMLC.
    • VMAT and IMRT Full MC planning.
