The Participatory Health Informatics & Personalization (PHIPE) is a research team affiliated to University of Seville and situated in the Computer Engieneering School. The main objective of PHIPE is to improve the quality of life of patients with chronic diseases through the use of technologies. PHIPE solutions aim to become patients into more active in their health conditions management increasing their engagement and motivation.


PHIPE Methodology

PHIPE team has experience defining research plans, using participatory health methodologies following inductive or deductive research approaches. The team has conducted studies using qualitative and quantitative research methods. Following a Patient-centered Design approach, stakeholders are involved from early stages and along the project. PHIPE team has conducted studies in laboratory and in real contexts (Ecological Momentary Assessments/Interventions).

Dissemination

PHIPE team belongs to University of Seville, and as a research team of an academic institution, is interested in publishing the research results in international scientific journals and international congresses, specially in those having high quality index (impact factor). PHIPE members have experience publishing papers in the top ranked medical informatics journals.
